Art Exel is run at Altrincham College of Arts every monday evening after school.
Art Exel is aimed to give the young attendees a sense of achievment and self worth through art. The young people learn a wide range of different arts and crafts here and work towards the Arts Award, a national recognised credibility. The after school arts club also allows an opportunity for young people to release the everyday frustrations they may face in their teenage years through art therapy.
So far Art Exel have entered many different Art competitions and displayed their work at exhibitions at Sale Waterside art centre and the Lowry art Gallery. One young person won the competition for the Black History logo which was printed on flyers and leaflets.
Art Exel also help with set design for shows such as Bugsy Malone, one of the school's productions, and also set design for the altrincham festival floats.
