We have experience of offering individuals and families crisis support, either directly or by working as a partner in a multiagency setting. Part of this support in the past has included arranging family holidays for those in particular need of a break away from the pressures of normal life as well as arranging alternative accomadation for individuls during particuarly difficult times. We also use our 'on the ground' knowledge to draw in extra support from other agencies for individuals in particular need.
This service is available outside of normal working hours and is, we believe, an essential part of our holistic
approach to our work.
We put a lot of effort into helping other local groups and are currently working closely with Broadheath Community Association and Seamons Moss community Association to help them develop themselves and the service they offer to their communities.
We also work closely with the Altrincham in Bloom Group and the Timperley Trekkers use our minibus for trips out. We are also producing a photographic record of the changes happening to Altrincham Town Centre during its 3 year, £20 million renovation and this is being done in conjunction with the developer 'Altrincham 2003 Estate Company'.
G-Force runs weekly arts and craft sessions in sheltered housing and old peoples homes in the area. Through this we are supporting the ,most vulnerable members of society and are currently working with residents up to the age of 99 years old. This is an area we are looking to develop more.
This group is for adults with an emphasis on those that are elderley and may suffer from isoltaion because of personal circumstances. This group visit local theatres approx. every 4 to 6 weeks.
We have experience of organising Adult Educational opportunities in the past, for example computer training courses and Food hygeine courses for adults. Our ambition is to expand these services through in new shop unit we are planning to open on Broomwood Estate in April 2007.
As well as delivering on the ground, directly to the communities ourselves, we also work on a strategic level with many other agencies with whom we are continually cultivating close links. The aim being to bring the extra benefits to the communities we serve that comes through good partnership work.
